Mr. Sayed was a Co-founding engineer of the CIGS Flexible solar cells in 1994, and commenced as amaterial science engineer. Over his career he served in many positions within the company and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in May 2008. Prior to joining GSHK Solar, Mr. Sayed served, from October 2001 until April 2004, as Chief Executive Officer and Director of Suzhou GS Solar, which owned and operated power distribution, power generation (both thermal and renewable), natural gas transportation and services, and natural gas distribution businesses in emerging markets worldwide. Prior to that role, Mr. Sayed spent almost a decade in positions that included President and Chief Operating Officer of various renewable energy associations and companies in Canada, US, Asia, Gulf and China and as Assistant General Counsel of GS Solar. He is a member of the Board ofChina Solar Association . Mr. Sayed holds a PhD. From McGill Univeristy in Material Sciences, an MBA degree from Southern California University and BSc. From Waterloo Univeristy.
Mr. Conrad joined GSHK as a Board Member in June 2017. He currently serves as a Principal Partner at the Chief Information Officer Strategy Exchange, as a Network Partner to North Capital Advisors, which provides growth capital to growing middle-market businesses. At NCA, Mr. Conrod was responsible for all aspects of the company's business. At Eastern Airlines, his duties included AMR's information technology services (ITS) group, Operations Research and the airline's award-winning website. Mr. Conrod has held executive management positions with Capital Corporation, Bank of Vermont and Digital Corporation. He has served as a director of several institutions, as well as on the Research Board and CIO Strategy Storage.Mr. Conrad has been a frequent guest writer for major technology publications on topics such as the future of the technology, vendor relationship management and the future role of the CIO.
Mr. Demirijan has served as a member of board since April 2002. Mr. having previously served as our Chief Information Officer from 2013-2018. From 1997 until his retirement in September 2002, Mr. Demirijan served in a variety of senior management positions at Bell Communications, Inc., a provider of communications services, and its predecessors. At the time of his retirement, Mr. Demirijan had been serving as Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Demirijan graduated from Manhattan College with a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and holds an M.B.A. from Adelphi University.
Mr. Benarji is a co-founder and partner of Benarji LLP, an advisory and investment firm, which specializes in developing early stage companies. Previously, Mr. Benarrji served as a senior partner of Root Company , a consulting company, from May 2012 until his retirement in March 2013. From July 2008 to May 2012, Mr. Benarji also served as Chief Executive Officer of Roots Company. Prior to that, Mr. Benarji served in multiple roles at Asia, and Europe, including President of the Worldwide Commercial Business from February 2008 to July 2008, Managing Director, Europe from 2007 to 2008, and Managing Director, United Kingdom from 2003 to 2007. Earlier in his career, Mr. Benarji was a member of the faculty at the University of Montreal Graduate School of Business.
Mrs. Davidson has served as the Professor of Nanyang Technological University since January 2012. Previously, Mrs. Davidson served as the President of Lucent Tech. from July 20001 until June 2014. Prior to that, from October 2010 to March 2013, Mrs. Davidson served as Director of the National Science Foundation, a federal agency charged with advancing science and engineering research and education. Previously, from 1998 to 2003, Mrs. Davidson serves as a director of the Singapore Stock Exchange, and as a member of the Exchange Commission Ad. And an Advisor to the Board of Siemens, AG, an engineering company.
